I been testing the high carb diet. And I am losing weight pretty steady. I eat mainly rice, beans and fruit. I don't count calories or portion control. Diet is pretty easy and satisfying.

I'm from India. If someone gets sick. Especially with jaundice (liver issue) we only feed them rice, milk, sugar and sometimes curd to help with digestion. When they start to recover we give them rice, lentil and add ghee on top. That's exactly 10% protein, 10% fat and 80% carbs. Guess what, at the end of their recovery day they loose all the fat but their muscles are preserved. Little to no loss and their liver and kidneys function normally.

Diet of rice is easy on the gut. That is why so many people eat white rice after they try to recover from food poisoning. Helps rebuild.

Refrigerate the rice 12 hours or more and it becomes a resistant starch. Reheat it and it’s even better for you!

I've been vegetarian for 5 years, I'd say 70% (or more) of my calories come from rice, plus some beans
I lost 40 kg and I am a long distance runner, I tried reducing rice recently and my physical perfomance went down horribly. Eat rice, it tastes great, is easy to digest and packed with energy

Funny thing I work at Walmart warehouse 12 hours a day and I ate nothing but white rice when I was working there because it kept me full all day. When I started working there and started eating white rice I was over 300 pound for 6ft3in men. When I left that job and stop eating rice I was down to 190 pounds. So I starting to believe this guy statement

I am 71yrs old.I have rice for lunch & dinner. But I strained the rice, removing the starch.My diet is mostly capsicum, carrot, tomatoes & some French beans.I boil all these, except tomatoes in cooker for 10mins on medium fire.Then I fry onion, garlic tomatoes. After I add water to cook what is fried.Then I add all vegetables & turmeric. All diabetes disappeared. On Sunday I have chicken. No salt in my rice& no sugar in my tea which I have twice.In tea, morning & evening I have toast. Good bye to diabetes.

I'm on a rice diet for crohns. Rice is an amazing substance. it takes on the flavor of whatever you cook in there with it. I cook just about everything in with it.

Recently I was working and was losing breath and getting tired quickly. I knew about the rice diet and quickly change and it works. High carb diet does work

I have A LOT of food intolerances and I basically eat organic brown rice, quinoa, some greens, some organic lean meats and forest berries. I think we as human beings don't need anything else.
Usually I have the most energy when I eat only rice and some veggies.

I have a friend who lived in India for many years and she has told me two very good cures, rice with banana for recovery from any illness, and cucumber for babies when they are teething.

I have tried IF KETO and lost weight fast but because I wasn’t feeling well (ckd) I switched to Dr McDougall’s starch diet with some leafy greens and very little fruits (I’m t2d) to see how I’d feel. I must say that my weight loss has slowed down but I feel better on Dr McDougall’s diet. My digestion has improved vastly and my blood sugar stabilizes quicker after meals Bottom line, in my opinion both diets work it just depends on your health situation.

I spent summers in South Carolina and we ate white rice at every midday meal! Love rice. I weigh between 145- 150. I'm 61.

I saw my Dad lose a lot of his muscle mass back in the late 70s. His health was worse after that rice diet. He had a heart attack the next year. I would never volunteerly eat that many carbs unless I wanted a short, unhealthy life.

I cut all rice/grain/sugar/seed oil and veg fruit from my diet a year ago. Reversed type 2, lowered bp, lost almost 100 pounds of fat, put on muscle and strength. Carnivore and IF have been a revelation to me. I’m not anti-vegan like some I know, I enjoy some fruit and vegetables occasionally, but I’d be dead on a high carb diet.
