Thank you SO much. I am waiting for a fully specced M4 Pro with 1 TB SSD (64 GB RAM and the extra core CPU - this will last years and would rather risk a bit of extra money spent now than regret not doing so later) and this is the first video I have seen that actually considers issues your users will care about like use of 3 screens, offering a turn it on solution, use with Parallels or other VPN, transporting it safely, using phone emulations in Xcode (not my case but important for those users). Even though this is first viewing you approach this as a professional "user" and are not just repeating the publicised specs along with a slice of personality - the first video I have seen to see how to find the model number for example, the height for racks... very very professional job. Thank you!

Looking forward to the M4 MBP tests as the early results from other sites suggest the thermals are not as great as they were back in the M1 days and fan noise has made an unwelcome return. Would like to understand a bit more about workloads would trigger this as I may need to wait for the next feature-shrink from TSMC before replacing my M1.

One kind of random thing I noticed with my M4 Mini is that YouTube videos are now fed to Safari in AV1. On my M1 it was always in VP9.

Which makes sense given that the M4 includes AV1 hardware decode for the first time. Subtle benefit.

I love this Mini Mac, I'm even tempted to switch from windows PC development and use this with Parallels. I predominately work from my desktop, but occasionally need to work while travelling or at customer sites. 1) Can I use my iPad Pro as a the monitor? 2) Can I power the Mac Mini from usb-C via a power bank or travel adaptor on a plane? Paying for a MacBook Pro M4 is a stretch to far for me.

Could you make a video with the M4 16gb 512 gb and M4 pro 24gb 512gb, running a react native app but showing android simulator and a couple iphone simulators plus one ipad simulator all running on the same time?? You can get an example app from Simon Grimm on youtube. I think it would interesting for react native developers like me to have the real life feeling and which machine would work better. I have a M1 Mac Mini 16gb 512gb and when I open 1 android simulator with 1 ios simulator, the memory pressure gets peaking red. At this point, I don't have enough to upgrade my machine but it would be very interesting. Thanks anyways. BTW, lovely channel.
