In this video I go over everything you need to know about fishing from the types of liquid you can fish in, all of the ways to boost your fishing power, and everything else there is to know about Terraria's fishing

for anyone who doesn't know: the angler earring, angler tackle bag, and lavaproof tackle bag will all stack together to increase your fishing power by 30% should you have all of them equipped

You're missing some of the more recent changes to fishing; most notably, having the tipsy buff, sitting on a toilet, and having the inner tube or flamingo mount all given +5 fishing power now.

Using worms and stars you can craft enchanted nightcrawlers that have 35% bait power which is better than the worm
also, worms tend to spawn during rain of right after rain

Tip: use fallen stars and worms to get the enchanted night crawlers which give 35% bait power, which is a 10% increase from regular worms which have 25% bait powers.

I don't know, i forget if he included say this after talking about killing ladybug, but touching it will actually increase your luck too. Natural spawn ladybug gives better luck and you can spawn it yourself, although it will reset every time you open the game. And also toss coins in shimmer to increase luck

On my most recent playthrough, I found the most efficient strategy for bait was just to catch worms and turn them into enchanted nightcrawlers by combining them with fallen stars, then doing the angler quests faithfully. I ended up with plenty of Master or at least Journeyman bait soon enough just doing that.

my first angler quest was in the underworld with 65% world progress.

For quests like the voodoo guide fish where it says "caught in caverns" i know that it must be caught near lava. Regradless of this does the biome have to be the default biome? For example can i catch this fish if im in the hollow biome? Because I have the fishing line and the sitting ducks fishing pole and yet I couldnt catch the fish after fishing for like 10 mins straight.
