I hate lava fishing, there is no point really, Inferno potions are useless. I never need them for any difficulty and they make almost no difference and if you need a lava charm, just shimmer magma stone! (obviously pre 1.4.4 you can't do this)

I thought fishing in lava was just hard coded to be slower, it'd make a bit of sense (well, as much sense as fishing in lava makes...) because lava is thicker than water. Didn't know that it was actually because it just rolls nothing most of the time

I'm an enthusiastic fisher in Terraria, so when I attempted lava fishing for the first time I was already fully geared up with the golden fishing rod, angler set, tackle bag and potions. I was blown away by how quickly I amassed obsidian crates and didn't understand why people said it was slow lol

in my first ever terraria world i got a lava charm from a chest so in my next world i was so confused why i could never find the lava charm and i looked up the odds and realized how lucky i was

Hot take; we don't need item bloat, but adding some filler fish like "Lava Bass" would be a great fix to alleviate this glaring issue. It'd certainly make the magma flow better. Then again, lava fishing is mostly cosmetic, so I doubt it'll get overhauled.

Uh did anyone forget to mention the Air Pressure mechanic?
1. You don’t need to be in the underworld to catch underworld fishing drops; it just needs to be lava.
2. The deeper you are underground, the longer it takes to fish, because lower fishing power. In all honesty, you’ll have lots of iron and lead by the time you are lava fishing and have a decent hellevator to transport you, so just get some buckets and pylons and it’s not too hard.

I had a feeling that this was why lava fishing was 'slower', but I wasn't sure, also I had no clue you could use multiple lava fishing enablers to go faster.

I once fished 6 hours in lava using fishing, sonar, and even crate and still didn't get a lava charm. So in the end I just went to another world with a guaranteed lava charm.

Lava fishing is something I always try to do in two waves: the First, with lava bait, for trying to get a lavaproof hook, after that I just use my best bait. Either way, with all the buffs possible, It is quite Common to end up with 10 Crates per fishing session (the duration of one fishing potion and 2 crate ones).

Can I request you do a video on multiplayer boss scaling? There's hardly any info on that. I've tested on Legendary with only 2 people and only on EoC and Fishron and they get somewhere between 13%-14% increase in HP. It'd be cool to see how much % each different boss gets and how much the % goes up with many more players online on 1 server.
