The BEST fishing farm in Terraria (1.4.4)

Fishing in Terraria is normally a long and tedious process that involves you having to go all over your world, but it doesn't have to be that way. In this video, I go over how you can make an All-in-one fishing setup in Terraria, which has almost all of the biomes in one small area over a pool of water. This setup/farm will allow you to easily go through your fishing quests and get great loot, while also leaving out the worst parts about fishing.

Bro making a pylon at each biome that has a fishing tank next to them is tbh going to be more fun for me (i hate counting)

As someone who rushes fishing every Terraria playthrough I got a couple of tips
1. Not related to a farm like this, but if you fish a Quest fish and put it in any container, you can catch another. This can ease a lot of the pain of the Angler Quests, though you have to catch a few in 'prospect'. I suppose it comes down to what you want to spend time on, fishing more to 'reserve' time later, or building a more complex farm like this that can let you get to the 'objective' in a few seconds consistently. It's a prep time either way, so go with what works best for you, I like my comfy fishing holes at each biome so I go with the Quest stacking method.
2. Point as downwards as possible when casting. It will reduce reel-in time, doesn't seem huge but once you're in the rhythm of fishing you can feel the difference. Don't accidentally aim backwards if you're on the optimal toilet, of course.

3:14 aren't the pillars 82 blocks because 30+30+10+10=80 and then +2 because of the replaced blocks

I find this really difficult to follow without more visual help. I think this would've been great in a bit slower speed and using a ruler. But that's just me. Does anyone know the overall size that is needed for this? I'm pre-hardmode and wanted to prepare this. But following this is gonna be a true pain x.x

Veteran Terraria player here, with 1500+ hours: I will say that this video helped me build the basics easier than the original, but this one feels very 'absolute'; I would say that, if you just want to be told how to make the farm, or you just want a world that has one built-in, use this video. If you want a more step-by-step instruction video that also leaves you open for more creative use, use Final's. I've used their video dozens of times, and it usually just requires a bit of thinking and adding or removing blocks to get a design I enjoy. This video, while it's good at telling you how to make it, leaves out a LOT of critical steps that Final's video addresses, and feels like a plug for their own world because of the steps that they've left out. Either way, good luck with your fishing!

This farm works well, except for the desert biome you added at the end. For anyone that is having any trouble with it and aren't getting all the biomes, you either messed up the measurements or there isn't enough space between the blocks you placed and the blocks around. I built mine in a hallow biome and for a while I only got jungle and mushroom but I kept working at the area and made more space and eventually it worked, so if you think this farm doesn't work which is what I thought at first, it does, you just have to keep working at it.

If you desert biome don’t work replace sandstone columns with with sand (put wood platforms under so it stays in place) then add a box like the crimson but made out of sand above the right side

5:44 I know that the new NPC is the Chinese version of Terraria NPC, but what mod did you use to port it?

So I followed all the steps, but noticed some of the measurements were a little screwed up. I fixed them in my build, but the farm doesn’t work. It spawns crimson and corruption enemies, but doesn’t change the background. The only background is the snow one

This farm does work. However, the sand blocks (desert biome) doesn’t work. Instead, the biome shows regular surface biome.
Does it depends on which “sand” blocks?

All biomes worked for me except for the desert one (i did the sand thing in the two sides of the pool) Anyone with the same issue ?

Im having a problem where both the top and bottom platforms count as underground when my depth meter says surface

very cool video, thank you! but why can I only add EITHER the desert or the lava/honey pools? Also, is there a specific height the farm must start at or will it work as long as all of it is on the "surface"? Thank you!

does this farm allow for getting both surface and underground fish?

I think I'll link to this video from my old 1.3 fishing biome video

You should do a building seed for xbox/PlayStation, need a seed that's relatively flat with nice terrain to build on and Corruption is far away from spawn

lava and honey dont need to underground right? because u can only catch like 2 fish in there and it doesnt depend on location right. just the liquid which u fish in or am i wrong? because if thats the case u can just build the pools above the original pool?
