Excellent tip, i manly use mine via an Apple TV box which i want to se at start up
not the annoying home screen.
Of all the TV's i have owned, i am still tweaking this one 3 weeks after buying it.
Some settings such as Auto-Dimming can only be changed with the "Service Remote"
which is a must buy, but used with caution

Thank you sir. Honestly, I never use the tv remote control. every media turns on the HDMI output and also the LG tv has the wonderful HDMI shortcuts.
