A comment and a request to all viewers - please appreciate this work in the spirit in which it is intended, to educate and share knowledge and the joy of flight in all its forms. Recently a writer pointed out, accurately, that at about 30 seconds or so, it looks like the plane is to the left of the center-line and the CDI needle also appears to be to the left, when in reality, it should in such a situation show the CDI to the right.

All I can say is it is a very complicated animation to make. everything you see is a complicated set of pixels and algorithms and shapes playing out in a synchronized timed dance. There is no plane or instruments or anything here, just pixels.  We added the yellow center-line at the last moment, to increase realism, allowing the viewer to see the plane fighting up and down drafts and wind gusts yet coming back ot course using the CDI needle.

The illusion breaks down at the point mentioned and I regret there was no time or budget left to make a change. It is heartening to see that nearly 100, 000 people have benefitted from the animation and the comment section is used to share and exchange information, yet at the same time snarky comments are disheartening and really have no place here.

 As a pilot, and former CFII single and multi engine instructor, chief flight instructor, aircraft owner, and flight school owner, with experience in over 60 single and multi engine types - inaccuracies, even if they are an illusion in an animation -  are not the standard I aim to achieve. As the developer, I regret it appears that way. To any readers who ever see what they think are errors I am open to collegiate dialog about whether the error is a concern or not, and if fixable I'd try to fix it. I'm always for making improvements, where possible.  The key is - please keep comments professional and collegiate, among peers of all levels, and help each other appreciate the beauty and challenge of flight.

@csocso24 Actually I produced them. My expertise is aviation, and I hired a professional animator with exceptional skills and coached him through how things needed to be done. He did an exceptional job! This was all part of a bigger packaged developed and sold to ASA, and is part of their VTP Instrument training software.
