The CVR shows that the Gol Linhas Aéreas Flight 1907 got into an instant bank roll after the wing was cut.
That was scary to hear to be honest.
Nevertheless the crew tried till the end to fly the plane with the captain calling for calm at least 2 times before the crash.
Heroes, absolute heroes!

American pilots did not know how to fly this aircraft. They maintained the TCAS off, and this was one of the main causes of the accident that killed more than 150 passengers of the brand-new Boeing 737 from Gol Airlines. Brazilian authorities should never have left them get away to the U.S.

Note: In real life if a place lost its right wing, it would roll to the right due to there now being more lift on the left wing, and vise-versa.

This episode to be honest was really sad because the Business Jet made a successful landing but the Boeing 737 didn't stand a chance, the plane spun out of control, broke into pieces and crashed killing everyone onboard. The passengers and crew onboard the Business Jet were all horrified and devastated about what happened and when they realize it was a passenger plane that they collided.

0:20 Why does the plane spiral right to the ground instant of left? The left wing is broken so the right wing is suppost to go up and the left down, unless there was uneven engine thrust but that didnt happen.

The CENIPA (Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Center) report includes a "Conclusions" section that summarizes the known facts and lists a variety of contributing factors relating both to air traffic controllers and to the Legacy jet's flight crew. According to CENIPA, the air traffic controllers contributed to the accident by originally issuing an improper clearance to the Embraer, and not catching or correcting the mistake during the subsequent handoff to Brasília Center or later on. CENIPA also found errors in the way the controllers handled the loss of radar and radio contact with the Embraer.

CENIPA concluded that the ExcelAire pilots also contributed to the accident with, among other things, their failure to recognize that their transponder was inadvertently switched off, thereby disabling the collision avoidance system on both aircraft, as well as their overall insufficient training and preparation.

A Spantax Convair 990 had a similar incident with an Iberia DC-8 over Nantes, France when the DC-8 cut half of the wing off the Spantax plane and crashed, but the Spantax Convair severely damaged managed to still land at a nearby airport. I think the reason it didn't bank roll like this one was honestly because of the huge differences in design between the two, because the Boeing 737 has more hydraulic controls, and the elevator is spaced out the wing, while a Convair 990 has its wing hydraulics closer to the actual plane.

The 737 lost some of it's left wing causing it to bank left and go into a nosedive. It broke up in mid air when it was nose diving towards the ground scattering bodies and wreckage over a wide area. The broken up wreckage of the 737 is still in the forest today. The ERJ-135BJ legacy 600 still flies today registered XA-FLY, it has worn a different paint scheme over the last few years.
