Fords wanted £1800 to do this on my Ecosport 😮 Got it done locally for £1200 it’s a proper long job.

Great video! It's hard to find any info on these engines in the US. They didn't make very many here and they are like finding diamonds around here.

Blimey Mark, nothing phases you does it. Looks like a nightmare. Why do they design these engines like this. Fair play to you. People who do this regularly are trained and apprenticed, still watching so hoping that it all goes to plan. What a nightmare!!

there is a few on YouTube doing this job so you could check em out i think the biggest job is putting back the crank bolt as there is a special touque multiplier tool that is recommended by ford it is actually a ford specialist tool

It's a good, enjoyable mix of work tonight, Mark, and excellent result with the mot on the fiat 500.

Havnt u got to replace wet belt cover as glued on. Te salvage rebuilds lol

I’ve seen videos where people have put the crank bolt back in with an air gun. They wonder why the crank pulley moves and puts the engine out of time. The torque settings on that bolt are ridiculously high.

Dear me look at all the pipes and bits on that 1litre engine lol looks crazy and worse than a nuclear power station or a Renault 5 Turbo. 😅
