Saw a sign outside a pub in London reading: "All americans must be accompanied by an adult" ... which is british humor at its best :D

She doesn't mention some other huge attractions like the British Museum, the National Gallery, the Natural History museum, St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the Victoria and Albert Museum....it goes on. And many of these are FREE!

This woman is an American yet she is saying us Londoners just because she has lived there for a bit. Ridiculous. Plus Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London is the best one and the original of them all. Take no notice of her go and visit the London Dungeon and the Wax Museum as they are good. Plus the London Dungeon is unique and part of our history...you can tell she isn't a Londoner as she claims, because no Londoners would discourage tourists from learning our history in a fun entertaining way by visiting the dungeon.

My first time in London, I went there with my girlfriend and we made a list of everything we wanted to see. At some point, we were tired of getting somewhere, look at whatever it was, strike it from the list and move on to the test thing, so we looked at each other and said "Let's skip all these and just tell everyone that we saw all these things!". We went back to our hotel and asked the girl at the reception what was worth seeing. She suggested Camden Town. This was a long time ago (we went there in the early 2000s) so I don't know if it has changed in the meantime but back then, it was GREAT!!! A lot of small shops, 2nd hand shops with rare CDs, vinyls, jewellery, 2nd hand clothes but also very cool clothes made by random people... I'm sure it's not everybody's cup of tea _(ha, see what I did there?)_ but if you're an "artistic" person and you have a limited budget, you'd love that place!!

Ryan there is nothing to stop you having afternoon tea if you wish. All you need is to sit down with your wife around 3 to 4 pm and have a tea with a bit of cake or even just biscuits if you do not feel that hungry.

If the you did not have to book for the Sky Garden you would have to queue. Most likely the queues would be quite long at times which would be disruptive to the street outside.

She is obsessed with afternoon tea and expensive food and drink.

If the Tate modern isn't your thing then there are loads of other museums and galleries that are also free. The natural history museum, national gallery and the v&a are all good options.

Forget The Shard! 22 Bishopsgate is almost high with a viewing gallery at the top which is free!

Take the River bus from Westminster bridge and sail down to Greenwich. Get of there and have a look ( from the outside ! ) of the Cutty Sark, then take a stroll through Greenwich market, then a walk ( not far ! ) to Greenwich park...stroll up to the observatory and the Greenwich meridian, then through the park across the heath to Blackheath...and catch a train for the return journey to Charing Cross station. MUCH more worth it !

As a Brit who's done these things I'd go for the aquarium or madam tussauds over the tate modern to look at the "art". The British museum, that's worth seeing.

Bus: no. 74 (top deck at the front, if possible) from Orchard Street (between Selfridges and Marks and Spencers), going to Putney.
Also, no. 414 (slightly different route), going to Putney Bridge. Catch it from the first (most northerly) bus stop in Park Lane.
You will pass by the south side of Albertopolis - Imperial College London, the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum. You will pass the Ismaili Centre. Some of Albertopolis will be farther north - in Kensington Gore - the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal College of Art, the Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens.
It is amazing to see the building of the Victorians as expressed in the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Brompton Oratory. On the other side of the road (Knightsbridge) - Harrods.
From Putney Pier, you can get a Thames Clipper (catamaran) back into central London.
At Putney Bridge (the Putney side), the parish church (twelfth century), the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, is where the Putney Debates were held in October/November 1647, between Oliver Cromwell's Party and the Levellers, who wanted universal male suffrage (spoiler alert: they didn't get it).
Beyond Putney is Richmond Park (two spp of deer - red deer and roe deer).

Why would you avoid Leicester Square? It's right there in the middle of everything. I mean ... it's a square. Just walk across it on your way to Chinatown or Soho or Covent Garden. It won't cost you any money or much time - so, what's the harm in going there? I found it a quite convenient meeting spot when I lived in London.
Sky Garden and restaurants in the Shard are a great tipp, though. I had a magical experience with the View from the Shard, but that was when it had just opened its doors, and there were mainly Londoners around me, admiring their home. ... Man, I miss London!
Greetings from Germany 👋

When I was preparing to go to London, this Youtuber was very essential to my preparation. Love her channel.

If you are a tourist in London, don't go to Kew Gardens unless you are a botanist or fanatical plant nerd. Go to Regent's Park. It is central, big, free and has everything. However, it may have a lot of people in it in high summer. The outdoor theatre runs from June to September. Primrose Hill Park is across the road from it to the north - across the road from the zoo.

With a good plan, London Pass is the best option if you choose to visit several atractions.

I'm a Brit and I've been to the Wax Museum. I couldn't get over how big Helmut Kohl was (Chancellor of Germany) and how tiny is Kylie Minogue.

Yes, Sky Garden is brilliant, has a Barca and restaurant up there. Having to book or queue is probably for fire safety, and restricted lift space.
