Star Wars: The Origins of the Force

Since the dawn of time a mystical and primal energy existed, what we now know as the force. From what we’ve been told there are two sides to this force. The light side of the force and the dark side and they have been at War -- each striving to extinguish the other. Then came Anakin Skywalker who was deemed the chosen one, prophesied to bring balance to the force and did with the demise of Emperor Palpatine. However, as we saw in the sequel trilogy the Sith returned bringing the force out of balance again -- that is -- according to the Jedi.

The question we need to be asking is what does balance in the force truly mean? Is it the light overcoming the dark or is there something more to it? This is a question fans have speculated for years but we may have finally gotten a break in finding our answer. In Episode thirteen of The Mandalorian, Asoka told Din to take Grogu to Tython and Tython -- holds the answers to all our questions.

In today's CBR video we’re going to explore the lore filled history of Tython and break down the origins of the force. We will learn who the first users of the force were and what Tython taught them that’s been lost to the generations of Jedi and Sith. At the end of this video you will know what true balance in the force means and how it can be achieved in the current star wars timeline.

I’ve actually been skirting on the idea that the Force itself is the main antagonist of the universe. If no one actually USED the Force, there would be balance. The same *could* be true with equal Light and Dark users, but that’s now out the window with anything outside of the main 6 movies.
Originally, there were too many Jedi, therefore, Order 66 was initiated. By the end of Episode III, there were only two Sith and two Jedi. Equally Balanced.
By the end of Episode VI, the Sith was ended and there was only one Jedi.
This is still unbalanced to a degree, but, there are two ways to look at this:
1. One is not an unbalanced number. However, Luke always struggled between light and dark, so one could argue that Luke learned to balance the two sides within himself.
2. Luke could have cut ties with the Force so that there were no longer any Force users left. Balanced.

That’s how I used to view things, but now we have all this extra stuff from Clone Wars to Mandalorian (the sequel trilogy is not canon and literally no one at all will ever get me to change my stance on that, not even Lucas or Filoni), so none of what I said counts anymore UNLESS you’re only a movie purist.
That’s is my particular point of view.

There are MULTIPLE Chosen Ones. We know of 3, Revan, Anakinn, and Rey. They all brought balance within the force, just they only couldn’t keep the Force balanced because of the true nature of sentient life-forms.

Good video, actually Very good video. You guys should do a video on the “Yuuzhan Vong”. In particular the “Yuuzhan Vong War”. This is most likely the direction that the Star Wars universe is going, hopefully.

Isn't your count a little bit off, with regards to remaining Jedi? What about Ezra Bridger? Dave Filoni has stated that he is still alive although he did go totally off the galactic map. Also there is Jason Syndulla to consider. Nothing has been put out there as to whether or not he inherited his father's abilities. So I think it's safe to say that a lot of things are still up in the air.

Who else noticed that they included the RBB Hands Boss Battle music in the beginning?

Just a sudden thought, could Grogu be Snokes mysterious apprentice?
Ashoka said that Grogu was afraid, so could he of eventually gone to the dark side?
Again, just a thought.

Simply, one of the most well said videos covering the Star Wars Universe! I wanna just say I completely endorse all things SW. Any pet peeve I had on hair splitting, was crushed by the insight, I should make my own movies using sock puppets..
