A Voice in the Desert: A Teachings of Jesus Movement (Part 1)

Happily Homeless is a two part documentary about a teachings of Jesus movement which is starting to grow in several different countries around the world as a result of this channel (A Voice in the Desert). People from all backgrounds and ages live in Christian community with one another, relying solely on God's provision. While most similar communities concern themselves with growing food or raising funds, these Christian radicals "live by faith”. This means that they spend their time witnessing for Jesus on the streets and on the Internet. Because they are not tied to a piece of land, they enjoy the sense of adventure that comes with being a traveling community. This documentary is an invitation to jump on board and discover what it is like to be real Christians, living like the first disciples of Jesus lived.

What is "A Voice in the Desert"?

A Voice in the Desert is anonymous. Its purpose is to point people to the message, rather than the messenger. Most modern day prophets promote themselves more than the teachings of Jesus and the true message of Revelation. A Voice in the Desert challenges that error and more. Some of the things you hear on this channel may be difficult to understand, and may offend you. The goal, however, is to sweep away dogmas and traditions to reveal what Jesus actually taught.

In 2016, I quit my job of 17 years & sold everything & used my PERS to join YWAM…the DTS & another secondary school used up all of that, so when we became staff…we were living by faith! God showed up in amazing ways! But I had to turn back to regular life & get a job because my adult son needed deliverance from addiction & YWAM didn’t have the willingness or the ability to help me help him. So, here I am wanting to return to living by faith! I have a daughter who is 16 now & has absolutely no desire to serve the Lord…waiting for the right time to return.

I love the concept and idea of the pan flit I received downtown Vancouver today. As they have a good image without forcing religious beliefs upon people.
But as a child growing up in many different foster homes and the worst experiences being with people who claimed to be Christian I am not a very religious person anyone.
Though I still strongly believe there are many valid and amazing lessons to view and learn from in the bible regardless of if you believe in god or not

Just a few minutes in, and I like what I'm hearing so far. But would like to point out that there are indeed others who DO teach Obedience to the commands of God given through Christ Jesus in the Gospels. The Fellowship I was involved with for 20 years had been teaching exactly that since 1976 in the little town of Poway here in SoCal until Pastor Thompson finally retired at the age of 93 just two years ago.. And several of us carry on that Truth of Repentance and Obedience to all that Jesus and the Apostles taught. :)
