Final Fantasy 16 PC Review - The Final Verdict

Final Fantasy 16 is a dark fantasy game that revolves around Clive Rosfield who, after being betrayed by his own family, sets off to get revenge on the person he believes is responsible for the death of his brother.

Along the way, Clive meets Cid and starts aiding his efforts to help NPCs escape and make a life for themselves. While Final Fantasy 16 is already (rightfully) accepted as a fantastic new entry in the genre, the PC version is also a great release that will undoubtedly bring more players to it than the original PS5-exclusive release could manage.

The PC version also gives players plenty of options, and runs fantastically with smooth frame rates and excellent visuals.

I would say this is a S or A Tier Final Fantasy game depending on who you ask.

This Ai review is terrible. "Switching from 30fps cut scene to gameplay no fps drop" BS. Failed to mention lack of fov slider, lack of ultra wide support in 2024 Pc game, failed to show any pc graphics settings in the review. Review for this game was just as bad as the final fantasy 7 intergarde review.

I WAS going to wait for inevitable patches but the fact that I have the same exact rig, I am fully confident that I should be able to have a great time with the game.

I can’t believe that this guy actually said a 7800XT and 7800X3D was mid tier 😅 it’s certainly not.

I have the exact build the reviewer is playing on and I’m glad to know that he can get well above 100 FPS at 1440.

I will go ahead and purchase the game today. I can’t wait. I was a little bit wary even though I ran the demo quite decently.

I’m sure patches inevitably will improve it further.

Also, the game has FSR 3.1?? because the demo only had 3.0

You can't have FSR enabled and also say you are running at Native resolution. Native means no upscaling of any kind enabled.

I would love to play with a controller, but for some reason. I cannot get my elite 2 to work. Tried switching to a wired connection, nope. Uninstall and reinstalled drivers, nope

I don't know if I should get this game yet. The only final fantasy games I played right through until the end was final fantasy 2 and 3 for SNES and FF7 for PS1.

I honestly don`t care about party members in arpgs. Even though they were nice in games like Ys, I just make them play defensively. Simpy because I find them too distracting during combat while not even being necessary. FF16 not having party members is no issue to me at all. Only exception where I liked it was in the FF7 Remakes.

I was split. I hated FF15 so decided to download the demo. The combat was fun and the story seemed okay but the voice acting really got me. When the Eikon of hotness was smashing the hot bird, the sound of each strike was gut wrenching. I have that in code to not spoil it for ya.
