If you're an OG that played the prev FF games (FF7 & 8 & 9 & 10 & 12) you would see this game as garbage, if you're a new player, good luck and have fun, personally i think the FF series ended at 12, everything after it is YIKES.

From someone who preordered a ps5 bundled with ff16.... It is a mid game, story is solid, combat is okish, exploration is nonexistent, Sidequest are just chore, graphics are ok. If port is garbage don't waste your money w8 for a big sale.

The game is mid overall, past the first 4 hours you'll catch onto the formulaic system really fast, finished it in the PS5 and traded it in for Wukong.

Can we stop with the Crap about Devil may cry ? FF 16 doesn't play anything like DMC or Bayonetta or old god of war or Ninja gaiden, you just have a basic 4 hit combo with heavy attacks and cooldowns and that's IT. THATS ALL. DMC doesn't play like that.

Game thrones inspired story AKA is shit and doesn't have any of the charm of older FF pre 13.

Darker tone but not really. Is pretty mediocre and santized game, is just boring with nothing characters.

Not open world is a good thing.

Side quest are the worst part of the game is just your Trash MMO quest "Oh but you get lore told you by the npc" and? I am supposed to be impressed by that shit?

The skill tree might ass well not even be there You are stuck for most of the game with 2 Eikos or summons or eidolons or whatever name they call.

Anything positive? Well is cheaper on PC for some reason and is even Cheaper than FF 7 remake integrate which doesn't make sense, that game is still full priced on PC but whatever. You better off buying Any Atlus RPG or Baldur Gate 3, if you want an Action RPG well though luck, It might not be one but Wukong is right there and refantazio is releasing next month too.

Just replay FF 10 again or heck Play FF 13-2 oh wait that game on PC is awful, well shit. Enjoy your FF 16 I guess...even if I think is just hot garbage.

The only thing to know is that it one of the most boring games ever, but not as bad as ff15. Boss fights are good.

I'll save you 50 hours of gaming and just tell you the game sucks too. Don't buy it. It looks good on the surface but its empty and bland on the inside. My worst full purchase of a AAA title of the year.
