I will remember my time with Final Fantasy 16 for the rest of my life. To think we got a game that was complete at launch with very minimum bugs, no microtransactions and gave DLC later that expanded the already complete story. Peak. Thanks Square and Business unit 3.

Seems like you are one of the few who is satisfied with the demo. I read many thing of users where the game heavily underperforms on mid to high tier hardware. I also read about many players who had crashes or couldn't even run the game.

For me with my Ryzen 9 3900X and my RTX 3080 10 Gig it runs ok. But still without a Upscaler it would be unplayable because of janky gameplay. For me the settings 1440p with FSR 3 Quality + Frame Gen works the best. With these settings it's jumping between 70- 120 fps. A no raytracing game should never need 1440p with upscaler on on a RTX 3080.

On top of all the optimization problems the cutscenes are capped at 30 frames what really feels off when playing. It's due to the prerendered nature of some cutscenes I know. But already there is a modder who fixed that so the cutscenes will render in realtime. I hope SE will adapt that into the final release.

I would call it one of the worst pc ports of SE. Final Fantasy X and XII were way less demanding but both had absolutely no issues.

I love Final Fantasy 16 as well...but the Pc Performance on the demo is super subpar. They need to fix it

You did not mention that cutscenes are currently locked at 30 fps.
Could be a deal breaker for a lot of potential players. Unless they fix this with the release or at some point.
Especially because the game has a heavy focus on being cinematic.

FF 16 will probably be the first game on my new PC since my last one got water damaged, gosh it looks even more gorgeous from what I've seen, personal opinion here I liked FF7 rebirth but there was waaaay to many mini games and there were a couple of voice actors that gave me a complete migraine, but the combat I absolutely loved

jared, were you paid by SE to glaze this port bro? this port is NOT well optimized whatsoever. the fact that a $600 gpu(4070 super) can't even run it at a steady 1440p/60fps is insane.

The requirements are insane. 2080 GPU (recommended) makes sense since this game is INTENSE on its boss battles. Anything lower your GPU will blow up 😅 always hyped for FF mods. Will def cop

I think* FF 16 was developed by the FF 14 MMO group so it mirrors many of those aesthetics. And the MMO has always run silky smooth. Can't wait for the 16th
