Hi, I was disappointed that BitLocker is NOT available on the ubiquitous Windows 10 Home Edtion that is installed on almost all PC laptops. It would have been helpful to provide encryption options for those of us who don't have Pro or Enterprise editions. Thanks ( another video ? )

I have a laptop with TPM 1.2 and Windows 10. I also have an external USB drive. If I turn on BITLOCKER on the C drive and enable TPM, how does that then work with my USB Drive which is not encrypted? Can I still copy non sensitive data to and from the USB Drive? Do I need to turn on BITLOCKER on the USB Drive? If I do and it does not have TPM (my assumption) then is that a problem? Thanks

@CyberJunkie My hard drive failed recently. A computer professional at Best Buy told me that I can recover my Windows data because of Bitlocker but a technician from Microsoft through chat says that Bitlocker is only for encrypting everthing not recovering or saving it. What do you say?

just want to share my terrible experience. I had my maxtor 1T send to netherlands to recover data which only have 2 years life time then sudden death. Journey took 2 months. Yesterday i get my recovered data stored in a 2T seagate expansion+ but encrypted by bitlocker. the decryption process is hell long only 52% stuck, then i pause and shut down, next day it is unreadable and no way to format it. So bad seagate quality!
Is the microsoft bit locker kill the 2T seagate expension+ or it is a defective product manufactured in china 2020?
