Things to Know Before Getting into IT - Information Technology

This video only relates to my point of view and is solely based on my experience.

I wanted to take some time to explain some things that you should really consider before getting into the IT field. I have over 10 years of experience in this field and have a vast knowledge of the industry.

If you are considering a career in Information Technology I strongly suggest that you take the time to watch this video and consider my points.

I think IT is for problem solvers and people thinking outside of the box. You don't need to be a total nerd you need to be curious, logical and creative, if you are helpful or people person it's a big plus. BEST IT people do NOT always have or started with a crazy passion for computers. Some people have passion for solving and creating something bigger something helpful meaningful and are passionate about learning new things... exceeding at those things.. and they are all insanely curious and that is what keeps them going :) ... Remember that for most of curious people passion comes with doing something well and getting better at it, discovering something every day, so don't give up!

So basically be willing to learn. I have life experience and having passion is not a requirement to he good at something. Many doctors, scientists, and lawyers do not feel passionate about their jobs. Having a robust mind and good attitude seem like a good aptitude for IT.

I used to be pationate about computers, till I started working in IT. This career is really a soul sucking path to choose.

You don't have to be passionate about something to get into it! You can become passionate about it through the success that you get from it, especially if you're the type of person who just wants to do their job well despite what the job is.

I'm passionate about art. I'm even more passionate about writing my novels enough to learn to publish as a one man team. But that doesn't pay. I can't bank on it. :( I never had access to computers until later in life, graduating high school in 2005. Got a BA of Studio Art. I'm not passionate about computers, but I'm passionate about painstaking detail work. Streamlining thousands of tiny errors until there is only perfection.
Is that something that could lead to passion for IT career jobs? Soul searching is rough, man

In Brazil the most we ca drive with stop or reduce is 4 seconds in very slow speed

what i love about computers is just how much you can apply into them. what you can make and do and how you tell it to act. but the greatest thing i like about it the most is just how easy you can run into problems if you aren't careful. you can stay up nights trying to find the issue and address it as you grow more and more frustrated. this is by far the best part because at this point many people turn around and say "i have had enough of technology!" It pushes me to the limits where you either bend or break and i choose to bend. its almost like life, you are faced with many challenges but you never stop where you are because the world doesnt wait for you.

Most of the people that have jobs don't actually like them or are far from being passionate about them. What say say in this vidoe sounds too idelictic and unreal for this world.
