Hi Trinny, Just a tip regarding the smoking thing. I was a 25+ a day smoker from the age of 15 to 37. I tried everything to quit, and then my husband read this book by Alan Carr called Easy way, and he stopped overnight. He was a heavier smoker than me! I was very skeptical, and I refused to read the last chapter entitled 'You will now smoke your last cigarette' for about two months. One day I was watching a film where the main character was sat on a couch watching tv with nothing but a cup of tea and I thought 'Wow, I wish I could be that content to not have to delay going out for a smoke'. It was enough inspo to read that final chapter. That morning at work I put my almost full pack of cigs and my lighter in a builders skip and never looked back. I felt free, and have no cravings at all. I was also less anxious. I am now 44 and I cannot even imagine smoking, and don't see myself as quitting, more gaining.

What a lovely woman! This is a great conversation. I totally understand the fear of dying alone. For me it was “who is responsible for me now I’m on my own”. Being alone is a totally liberating once the fear is gone. I feel a bit sorry for couples because they need to compromise all the time.
