That's what surprised me the most when I learned about Spam's ingredients. It's not like garbage cuts, pink slime, or anything like that; it's just pork! It's been ground up, seasoned, salted, cooked, and canned, but it's still just salty pork. It can be very salty, so I usually prefer the reduced sodium version
