A harsh realisation for me was that just because he says he's a Christian and goes to church, doesn't mean A) he's a man of God and B) You are compatible.

I think it's really easy to want to pair up with a Christian guy for the sake of pairing up, fearful that you won't find someone else.
Moreover, not making a man your project! We all fall short, but if he is showing signs that he doesn't even want to understand the problems, get rid.

Yes the most healing you’ll have as a girl is being around good woman . Older wiser woman, your girls you can get deep with and be silly with, the girls that are doing the same thing as you, the girls with different goals and similar morals to expand your knowledge .

This was so soooo good. In my own life I want to put aside dating and seeing good men as husband material. I'm always praying for friendships & having a tribe and I can think of so many people that had I looked at them as just friends and not "potential" it would have been such a better experience.

"Fantasizing can actually make the goodness of God seem plain and boring." I resonate with this sentiment and it raises a question, how can I combat or avoid this tendency? I often catch myself fantasizing when I'm bored, and especially when I'm in bed trying to fall asleep, creating "fake scenarios."
