1. find someone secretly: take your desires to God in the secret place. submit your desires to Him. trust Him with the desires of your heart.

2. find someone in (a church) service: someone who is part of the Body of Christ

3. find someone serving: serving God + people.

4. find someone seeking (God).
Matt 6:33 (seek first His Kingdom + His righteousness). Is God truly Lord over that person’s life?

5. find someone serious: person with
godly character, integrity

in a man: he should be a picture of Christ
(obviously only Christ is perfect, but he should love + lead like Christ) — love that is self-sacrificial

I love the Frankenstein reference. Recently I got briefly involved with a non-Christian. To make a long story short, when it started, just as an acquaintance, I had no idea it would go where it went. But we got very close (emotionally), spent hours talking every single day, for 3-4 months, and sadly, our conversations ended up in a sexual territory after some time, as deeper feelings came into the scene. Thankfully, nothing truly physical ensued, as we did not get to meet that often and it was partly long-distance when he went abroad for over a month. I think I loved him, or something close to that anyway. We broke it off a month ago (thanks to God's intervention, I believe, because I wouldn't be able to stop myself as we had become VERY, VERY attached) but to this day I still experience moments of sadness and I still miss him, even though I know it had no chance of thriving. And I am sorry for allowing myself to even get there, I never ever dated anyone in my 29 years of life, so it caught me unawares. I've learned so so much from the experience but the scars and heartbreak are there, and it had awaken something in me, that shouldn't, and some of our conversations are difficult to erase from memory. And I think I did give him a part of my heart. It just wasn't worth it, and I see that I was deceived, justifying it all somehow, though deep down I knew I should not have pursued this. And I didn't at first, it started off as a friendship with my intention to share the Gospel with him, but it left us both hurt, as we had to end it due to the differences. He knew I was a Christian, and it would simply not work out in the long run. Now the only thing I can do is to pray for him and hope God can still make it work for my good (as I hope I've learned my lesson) and I pray that God will touch him some way, so that he might come to know Jesus. I care about him still (the guy). God bless you all as you seek His will in this. He is good, even when we mess up and He wants what's good for us, even if for some of us, it might not be a spouse. I like to quote Psalm 84:11 to myself these days: "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give favor and glory, for no good thing will He withhold from the one who walks uprightly."

I’m too broken to date someone, yet I’m lonely and wanting romantic love. It’s tough but my eyes are on Jesus.

Ever since I’ve started to grow closer to God a few months ago, I’ve developed a strong love for people around me, to help them and to be polite. I find myself doing polite gestures for people every single time I get the chance because of a strong urge to do so. I never get angry anymore, I stay calm or sometimes happy. But over time I’ve also started to develop a very strong feeling to love somebody else in a romantic way, I want to make someone else happy, and to feel the warmth of someone else in a hug so badly. Sometimes it even feels like my chest is going to explode because of how bad the desire is, but I remain composed and as of right now I’ve suppressed it by trusting that God will make it happen soon, when the time is right. Thank you for this video, I’ve recently stopped praying to God about romantic love because I wanted to focus on him, and when I saw this video I had a strong urge to watch it through, but now I will pray to God about it again, letting him know everything of how I feel about it. This is also after I found out that a prayer has no expiration date.

It’s crazy how the Spirit moves as one. I was dwelling/discussing on this topic yesterday with my sister. This is exactly what we were talking about. God bless you and your family! So thankful for the podcast and this channel. The Lord truly is working through you guys.

So helpful I was just talking about relationships with some of my brothers in Christ the other day and looking for the qualities that not only exemplify Christ but magnify his character are super important and it’s important for us to have that as men of God

I just got rejected by someone who I think ticks these boxes. I know that rejection is God's protection but it still hurts. I know this means that she wasn't the one God intended for me but I'm heartbroken that she didn't even want to give it a chance. I'm going to have to keep reminding myself of God's word and not let these feelings dictate. Please share if you have any advice!

I think it's very befitting that you're preaching where you are. It is written, "Don't cast your pearls before swine." However, the swine is dead, and the word that you're speaking is life. A perfect picture of what happens when you speak to those willing to hear what the spirit is saying to those seeking wisdom.

Hey Alex, be praying for me, I am confident and determined in my faith, I met a Godly single woman at my young adult group, however, I do not believe the timing is right. I pray for strength to be a good friend to this woman, and that God may open the door for us to date in time.

I love how nothing on this list is about common interest like oh they like fitness, art ect. Like me then they must be the one. Interest and hobbies change! Wanting the same things and having a love for God is all that matters!
