Thank you for this. I had trouble cutting the end and I was turning them all over the place. You only turned it once to measure the length and then cut. I assume the piece that goes against the wall was already cut where it would have locked on to another. I have looked at about twent instructions on Youtube and you are the forst one to make it simple. Thank you so much for this. Tony from UK.

You really have to remove the base boards and then install them over the flooring. It will look a lot better and won't suffer from expansion/contraction issues

I am always attracted to the dark flooring. I ended up putting dark bamboo all through my last house and ugh. It shows every speck of dust all over the floor! I don't like blond flooring at all, but now I go with a light to mid shade floor. That floor looks so beautiful, but I wouldn't want to clean it again.

How straigth is the circular saw to cut lengthwise? I have a small laminate floor project. I don't want to spend too much money on table saw

Everyone talking about the baseboards the reality is a a contractor its not up to you its up to the client. I've had many clients refuse to pay for the labor and material required for removal and replacing of baseboards and would rather just go with the option of 1/4 round or shoe as its less expensive.

You could easily slide the board under the assembled ones for marking :)

I read somewhere you need to leave a little space for swelling and shrinking due to weather conditions. Will your way of installation still be ok?

Do I need to use spacers on every side that’s touching the wall? Sid note I have no trim have everything directly to the wall.

Glad someone did laminate flooring the way i would without removing baseboards. I prefer shoe molding. I mean who wants to do all that work of removing baseboards especially in a rental property 😅
