Climate scientist reacts to denier comments

I'm a climate scientist, and also a woman, which apparently means I'm fair game to receive unsolicited quackery from climate deniers and Men On The Internet (who sometimes even happen to be the same people!).

Sharing is caring, so I asked some of my colleagues to contribute the most hilarious and outrageous correspondence that they had received. Funnily enough, there's a few people who crop up a lot - seems like they have nothing better to do than harass scientists online.

So, here I am, reading some of the highlights for your delight and titillation. You're welcome.

You are right about retired engineers. While they have an education, these ones are narcissistic. They also are conservative and belueve in the free market. Many score high on authoritarianism as well (Kerr and Wilson, 2021). Lewandowski et al 2021 shower that a belief in the free market and conspiracy was a strong predictor of denial, R=.680. Fascinating stuff.

Yeah, but we're spiralling into the centre of the galaxy via, one presumes, a decaying orbit since we're also orbiting it. You didn't address this: EXPLAIN.
