This is the best explanation I have heard. I think its hard for most people to hear this because we live in such a comfy society but it is so true, embrace being uncomfortable and you will grow

Currently 27 weeks pregnant with my 7th. Definitely going to try this, I’m going to pair it with my Ina may gaskins relaxation technique.

I use a similar technique - every time I stub my toe or otherwise get hurt during pregnancy I use my breathing technique and try and relax my body thru it. It's amazing how much we tense our body up over just a stubbed toe!! You don't realize until you actively try and relax thru pain how much tensing is our default response.

WOW
I was surprised at how painful that was but it really gave me confidence on where to place my mind and practice breathing

I know it won’t be the same but it definitely is painful enough for good practice 😂

Thank you!

Before my pregnancy I had been doing cold shower everyday because I want to build cold tolerance during winter. And only stop when I found out that I am pregnant. Being in a cold place is very mental game. I remember the first time I took ice bath my flight mode was activated but I was determined to keep going. I am currently 35 weeks and I hope I am mentally prepare for the big day.

I'm on my 3rd pregnancy and I've been facing fear and worrying how this delivery will go. I will definitely do this because there's so much power in mentally preparing. Thank you so much for this video!

Hi! At what stage of labor is this level of focus typically required? Is it like this from early labor onward (just with more time in between until active labor)?

This is so helpful! I used hypnobirthing with my first, but was looking for something a little different this time as it's hard to meditate with a little one, though I am still utilizing hypnobirthing techniques, this is AWESOME. ❤

I always just make it to 30 seconds…and my hands still burn half an hour later 😢 I think for me it would actually be a good distraction from labor pain…..that’s why I’m bringing combs to the delivery room to torture my hands. Maybe it’s a good thing my hands are so sensitive 😅👍🏻

Well I practiced 1 hr yesterday and went to bed with my throat not being 100%. Now what to do if i might have gotten sick from that...Not to mention ice can potentially damage tissue, so no I won't do that again
