The Shroud was redated in April 2022 using X-ray crystallography technology. This is the same method used to analyze the twisting of the DNA double helix.

The twisting of the linen molecules was examined in the Shroud, and it was discovered that linen molecular twisting changes predictably over time.

The twisting of the Shroud molecules were compared with other linens with known dates. Such as paintings that were dated, and other linen artifacts throughout the ages, to make a measuring stick, so to speak, of how old a linen fabric could be.

The fiber twisting of the Shroud compared equally to other linens that were 2000 years old, from Christ’s time period. So the Shroud is 2000 years old, not just 700 years old.

Carbon dating samples were taken from the edges of the fabric, which had frayed, and been repaired with new threads, in a manner similar to darning holes in socks. Although the darning completed on the Shroud was very carefully done so that it could not be detected without a magnifying glass.

The pollen analysis is also absolutely correct. These are from native plants only found in that region and that time.

There is also soil particles on the Shroud, ground into Jesus’s knee, and transferred to the fabric when Jesus fell, and the chemical composition of that soil on the Shroud matches the chemical composition of soil at the crucifixion site.

There is much more evidence than this proving authenticity the Shroud of Jesus. It can be found easily.
