In this timeline, Future Gohan brings Trunks along with him as he had just recently discovered super saiyan. Instead of knocking him out and leaving it all to Trunks, this time he’s confident he can take them on. However, to Gohan's surprise, when the two encounter the androids, 17 reveals he wasn’t even using half of his power. Android 17 proceeds to go all out and toy with both gohan and trunks at once, and eventually beat them down to base form. As Android 17 is about to deal the finishing blow to Gohan, we trunks still have just enough ki to emit super saiyan and fire a blast at his face. All this does is enrage the android. Leading into him firing a blast through his chest similar to what Cell did in canon, killing Trunks. Gohan seeing the person who he thought would take his place and restore hope for humanity now die, leaves him feeling completely broken. Android 17 and Android 18 both laugh maniacally as Gohan looks at Trunks’s lifeless body, completely distraught. Son Goku , born Kakarot , is a Saiyan raised on Earth and the overall main protagonist of the Dragon Ball series. Originally was sent to destroy Earth as an infant , Kakarot would be adopted by Grandpa Gohan who named him Son Goku. A head injury at an early age alters Goku's memory, ridding him of his initial destructive nature and allowing him to grow up to become one of Earth's greatest defenders. He constantly strives and trains to be the greatest warrior possible, which has kept the Earth and the universe safe from destruction many times. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a 2022 Japanese computer-animated martial arts fantasy/adventure film, directed by Tetsuro Kodama, produced by Toei Animation and written by Dragon Ball series creator Akira Toriyama. It is the twenty-first Dragon Ball feature film overall, the fourth produced with Toriyama's direct involvement, the second to carry the Dragon Ball Super branding, and the first to be produced mainly using 3D animation. The film follows Piccolo and his former student Gohan as they go on a mission to save the world from the newly reformed Red Ribbon Army. It was originally set for release in Japan on April 22, 2022, but was instead released on June 11 due to a cyberattack at Toei Animation. Piccolo follows Gamma 2 back to the Red Ribbon Army's base and discovers that Magenta and Hedo are working on a new android named Cell Max, a new and improved version of Dr. Gero's ultimate weapon, Cell. In order to lure Gohan into a trap, Magenta decides to kidnap his daughter Pan. A disguised Piccolo, having learned of this plan, volunteers himself for the kidnapping party, and intercepts Pan, who agrees to go along to get her father to pay attention to her. After learning that she has been "kidnapped", Gohan leaves his studies and launches a full-scale assault on the base alongside Piccolo, who has used the Dragon Balls to attain a new form dubbed "Orange Piccolo". Unleashing his "Ultimate" form, Gohan battles Gamma 1 and overwhelms him while Piccolo battles Gamma 2 using his "Orange Piccolo" form. Piccolo defeats Gamma 2 before stopping the fight between Gohan and Gamma 1.

Manga: No chance in hell does Gohan beat the Androids. Not only would 17 be at least equal to SSJ2 Future Gohan, he has infinite stamina, the barriers, and 18 who is roughly on the same level. He still gets his ass beat but they probably don't bother killing him so it breaks his spirit and he just helps Bulma build the Time Machine, getting it done faster and likely needing to be re-trained by Goku and Piccolo for a rematch.

Anime: He likely kills one of the Androids if he gets SSJ2, but still goes back in time.

SSJ2 or not, Future Gohan stands no chance against the Androids.
