Ryzen 7700 with heatsink only costs around $230 in my country, while 9700x without heatsink is $410. This is an absolute scam😂

Just bought my 7700x from microcenter for $150. Hard times beat for the price.

I have heard that bios updates for this gen can improve performance significantly. More so for Zen 5 than Zen 4

Personally, I don't give a fk about CPUs above 65W. Getting power by rising power consumption and calling it the next generation is a new low.

Ryzen 5 - 5% more performance - 25% higher price - GG AMD

If the 9700X will be at same price as the 7700X, then and only then will I choose the 9700X. If the 7700X will be cheaper (e.g. $5), then better choose the 7700X.

History repeating itself.
Performance uplift from Ryzen 1700X to Ryzen 2700X was like 0.8% to 1.5%

The main reason was because it was AMD's first try at DDR4 system. And then now it's happening again 7700X to 9700X almost non existent uplift. But 9700X has broader DDR5 timing and sub-timing control than Ryzen 7000s

In most titles the 7700x seems to have better 0.1% lows... After the 9700x reviews I just got a 7700/B650/RAM upgrade, can do 5500/FLCK2100/6000-CL28-36 while being undervolted/stockRAMVoltage at 88W powerlimit, theoretically it should be slightly faster than a stock 7700x... Actually, I don't even know the limits because I only had it lock up on boot once while I tried FCLK2100/5550 at a mistyped CPU undervolt(instead of 0.025V undervolt I typed 0.25V)... had to reset CMOS ...I'll try harder once I get a new GPU...

I purchased a 9700x and I'm quite happy with it.

I had my 7900x at 105 watts turned it back up to 170watts get mutch higher gpu usage so mutch better no lag leave it at stock for better fps

Both Intel and AMD are in a weird spot right now. In a proper, non-stock price based economic world...they could just be honest and say they have nothing to offer for a few years. But in our world...they have to keep pushing out products despite currently being mostly unable to get real performance gains while they do more R&D on next-gen chips. Wild that their shares would go down more from honesty than trying to push obviously sub-par chips. Awesome world we live in!

My 3700x still doing pretty good... I luv it, best CPU I ever had... Don't think I need to upgrade any soon...

its simple, if u have 7000 series don´t upgrade, but if you build a new setup, go for 9000 series..

In single core, the 9700x literally trucidate the 7700X. So it would be great to add the best computer emulation machine (not a VM, but an emulation machine such in 86Box) and do a comparison with a Windows XP game. For retrogamers, the 9700X is by far superior than the 7700X.

Please in CPU tests add some game that Sensitive to single-core speed, like rainbow six siege, cs2 or valorant
