Runaway is THE Aurora song, her first big hit, and what many consider classic to her discography. She's got an EP, 3 albums, and another coming soon. The 2 newest singles (and everything she does, tbh) are so artistic and emotional. Her music has evolved over the years but is always distinctly Aurora in ways that are hard to describe. The journey is worth every moment! I've shed many healing tears through her music and I hope you'll keep going!


Many will say it and I will too- She absolutely shines live. Even through a screen, you can feel her embody and project the music. Nidarosdomen, Haik, and KEXP Iceland 2018 concerts are all excellent and here on YouTube.

Yea it is her song. She wrote it when was 11 years old (before even she become an artist). Currently she is like 27 and has so much of great song. I love her whole discography (and songs outside albums). There are a lot of variation in her sounds and music and she write every song by herself. She is also incredible live, very expressive. Just amazing natural artist.

Fun facts about the Runaway Music Video:
It was shot (as far as we know) during January 31 to February 2, 2015. She was 18 at this time. She wrote Runaway at the age of 11-12 and finalized it at the age of 14 (for a school project, as she mentioned in an interview).
The parts, where she wears the 'furry' top (it's actually sheep wool) are shot at the west coast of the Drange peninsula, less than a mile away from her parents house.
The parts in the forest were shot in the same forest where she played as a kid very close to her parents house.
The parts, in which she wears a thin white cardigan and with some trees in the near background and the island of Lysøya in the background, are shot actually in the backyard of her parents house in Drange (Norway).

She did modern ballett from age 6 to 16 which you'll see influence her body language and how she move and dance on stage.
For each album she make, she puts one song aside for her final album, only to be released after she has passed away, which shows how unusual she is as a person.
She is also Very intelligent, very free and direct, very funny, and compassionate, her interviews will show you how much.
She named her fans Warriors and Weirdoes, her Warriors to help her spread Love and Compassion to the world and wanting to be a welcoming haven to 'Weirdoes' who often have to fight for themselves - be warriors - to make it trough their daily life.
You will also find that she does great covers, some on the fly with little rehearsel time, as challenges on TV shows.
Even though comments focus on her performing live, and I agree, her music videoes are also good and contain deeper meanings and matching the lyrics. She partly directs them herself and I really enjoy them.
The people who she feel closest to are her band members which all are superb musicians and singers, plus sister Victoria who makes her stage outfits to Aurora's liking, and sister Miranda who is her make-up artist and big support.

AURORA is a self-taught piano player and singer. She is from norway, and is 27 soon 28 years old and she started making melodies when she was 6 years old . The words came when she was 9 or 11 years old. She made runaway when she was 11years old. She is a multi talent. She can paint, dance, and make meaningful music. The newer songs are very different from what we have seen of her, i recommend you to check out her older stuff first. She is in a new area, but she still sounds like her. You have to check out her live performances the music feels even better live because you see the art being made on the stage, and it will blow your mind everytime!! its a bit hard to give recommendations because all of her songs and live performances are beautiful but i recommend her cop26 concert she sings alot of her songs that is popular and its mostly acoustic. In that way, you also get to see her speak to the crowd and understand her as an artist and what she stands for.

Aurora doesn't write about herself. She always says the music is bigger than her, and she has a longer vision about what music is and what it could do for us, it can make you dance, cry or be sad or happy. She have made a lot of songs and realised them many years after because she is realising them when she thinks the world needs it the most.
Aurora is the most authentic person I think you will see in the music industry. She writes all of her songs mostly all alone. She produces them on her own terms and make her musicvideos too. Aurora herself is art. She is also very strict when it comes to her band and the people she works with she said, "I need people that don't look at the notes while playing."

When she writes music, she has something to say. It has become more "political" she sings about the right to love, racism and the most important to her is mother earth as she call the world. She was mostly in the forest when she was a child all the time, alone, and she still loves it.. Her parents used a big cow bell to call her in to dinner. When she was little, she didn't like to be with a lot of people, and she only got social media because she became an artist. She dont care about fame and has a totally other view on success than others. Us from Norway is obviously so proud of her and we think its fun thats so many can see her talent and help others to feel.she iis having a norwegian tour and people from 48 countries are coming to see her.

Just subscribed. Aurora is quirky, funny and has a beautiful personality. She's a nature lover, and a bit of an empath. I'm 79 and she reminds me of the "Flower Children" of my day! She get's so lost in her performances that you at times see her have to physically shake herself back from where she went. Seen her live and it's amazing.

Great reaction guy! You didn’t interrupt 85 times and really appreciated her. I believe the video was at her childhood home in Norway. She was terrified of performing at first but wanted to share her thoughts and music. You can see that at the end of Runaway at the Noble Peace Prize concert. As a little girl she spent a lot of time in the forest with the animals day and night and has always been “special.” For a different side of her watch the video Cure For Me. It’s one of her most fun songs but as always with a message. It’s a protest against conversion therapy practiced in some countries to “cure” homosexuality. She’s bisexual and regardless of what anyone thinks of that you have to respect her courage. I’m hetero and I do. Watch some of her videos. Like A Version is good and not too long.
