Not sure why the hate about not having an all digital display. Personally, I *like* the analog speedometer a lot and praise Honda for including it.

200 miles on my 2023 sport touring is everything I hoped. Comfortable, quiet, fun to drive. Looks great. Love the infotainment system. Paid MSRP with three weeks for delivery. The only neg is lack of built in garage door opener. Happy new Honda owner

Just bought the 2024 version (non touring) - wow what a car!

Picked up a sport touring at MSRP, I actually really like it. It feels refined not cheap like Hondas of old. They are trying to punch above their class here and bring in some of the people looking for a luxury SUV.

I own exactly the same trim 2023 CR-V as on this video, got mine among the first one's back in December 2022, and I got to say, that current Honda built quality has disappointed me. Paint coating of the inside portions of the doors is so poor, that I got corrosion in 4 months old car! This is unacceptable! Went to my local dealership to claim the warranty repairs. While they were fixing it, I've been curious and went on their lot to check a few brand new CR-V's for the same area, and unfortunately, same poor coating and uneven gaps on the hood/fenders area, the lift gate and side panels as well!
And lastly, what the service department manager told me about those findings, shocked me! His words exactly " It's okay for the mass production vehicles"
Previously, I had spent hours on the phone with the American Honda call center about this issue trying to get someone in the quality control management, but unfortunately they've said that there is no such one, so that's probably why Honda manufacturing going down in the quality I guess? So sad experience. Beware, and check on those things at the time of purchase!

I test drove the Hybrid Sport last week. The exterior looks proportional and the interior looks elegant. What I have issues with are: 1. No spare tire. 2. No panoramic sunroof. 3. No power tailgate lift on the Sport. Have to go up to Sport L. 4. It's just really dark in there with the black seats and black ceiling. It might just be a personal preference, but it makes me feel closed in and depressed. (Try painting your living room walls and ceiling all black and you'll know what I'm talking about!)

Thanks for this overview. Just purchased my 2023 Honda CR-V hybrid over the weekend and I'm in love.

I happen to think 37 MPG in a full size crossover is pretty damn good.

Solid review. Good intel. One additional downside for Honda Hybrids: the spare tire & jack are replaced by fix-a-flat kit. Not a fan.

My parents own the Sport trim, which in us it's the Sport Hybrid, but in Canada, it's the same engine as the EX-L and EX, which has the 7 Inch screen, Power Tailgate, Roof Racks, 18 Inch black rims, they like it, and they have no problems with it, but they gonna trade it in in the next 4 years.

I ordered this exact model in this exact color month ago. Was supposed to arrive in February. Now they're saying the first or second week of March. Hope it's worth the wait.

i had a plug-in hybrid and hated it! love the switch to a full hybrid option. The problem with Plug In was, once the battery is drained, you have an underpowered car with extra weight! Love my new CR-V

Were you able to deep-dive and investigate whether the new generation's engine is not prone to oil dilution?

Ill trade in my Honda in 7-8 years, you trade in Kia let me know how much you get in your trade in. Guaranteed I'll get much more.

Huge improvement over the previous gen. I just wished Honda gave it the bigger infotainment screen and full digital cluster. I’ve seen a couple of the non-hybrid trims on the road and I think they look handsome.

They should have went with a 2 liter in the gas versions but as you said, they are trying to push customers into the hybrid versions. A 2 liter with 220-250 hp would have been a solid performer and a big seller.

I have to say, I actually find the "lack" of certain (IOW, Luxury) features refreshing. I like that the CRV isn't pretending to be a luxury car. And if it's luxury you want, Honda will gladly point you in the direction of your nearest Acura dealership.

I just feel like putting a lot of these features in these cars has spoiled people into expecting "mainstream" brand to sell luxury cars now. Like, I look at a loaded Kia Sportage that these reviewers seem want to compare the CR-V to and all I see is a Mercedes GLC knockoff made by a company who (granted, has come a long way) still has a reputation for being not as reliable in the long term as other brands.

I have the base Sport model. I really like it—it’s well built, rides great, and the safety features are awesome. Two things stand out to me that I’m not crazy about. The interior is completely black (would have liked some grey, at least on the ceiling) and they brought the windshield much closer to the front passengers. It feels a bit claustrophobic.

Drove the Sport Touring the other day and was going from 60-80 on the highway. The engine was pretty loud when you hit the accelerator to get up to speed.
