Aloha Doctor,
I broke my distal radius (non articular) on 12/8/23.
The distal ulnar pain and ROM limitations persists
while still in therapy.
Good information to discuss with my hand specialist again
in two weeks. Thank you.

I'm getting WEIRD random bouts of pain here. It's nothing like an RSI feeling, it's a deep, throbbing, debilitating pain that will come on strong for about a second, and then pulsate away. I've had no hand injuries that I'm aware of. I'm a gym goer, don't seem to have any grip issues or movement pains that I can trigger. It's like some kind of electric shock pain, and it leaves almost as quickly as it comes.

my pain occurs when i am having to lift any weight with my wrist (palm down or up) my pinky side tendon will hurt badly, but only on my wrist, and makes the wrist weak

I do lots of calisthenics, dips and pushup movements on straight bars or floor really do put a lot of stress on the ulnar side for me, i found gymnastic rings help and wrist exercises and stretches

Mine is from a lifting incedent a suddent pain. Not repptative movement. I cant bend it as far as normal. Hurts to twist the for arm. Or to bend wrist at all towards the pinky.

Without incident or injury I got a sudden, sharp pain in my wrist on the side of the outside of my arm. It has only gotten worse over the weekend.it hurts when I’m doing nothing. The pain radiates. It hurts to lift my hand, move my fingers, grasp or hold anything, use my hand for support? 😫

I started having sharp pain in both wrists about three weeks ago as well as trouble making a fist. it comes and goes. My doctor ran a bunch of tests including checking for Lyme disease. X-rays only revealed arthritis in my right thumb which is about the only digit I'm not having trouble with! I've been making a conscious effort to drink more water and take Glucosamine and Collagen type ll for some knee issues due to a work injury suffered six years ago. It sucks because I can't take most pain med.s due to the other med.s I'm on for heart and Diabetes.

this is very helpful. It helped me identify why my wrist hurts. I think i got it from doing dumbell curls. maybe my wrist isn't used to the weight of the dumbell yet.

5 metacarpal fracture april 2023. untreated. Pinky side of wrist started hurting in october same year...and now it's february and it got worse...

I took up bowling again about a year ago after a LONG absence, and after several months with no issues, I started using a wrist positioning device to help me keep my wrist bent during my swing, which resulted in very painful tendonitis after a few weeks of use on the pinky side of my wrist. I stopped using it, and took two months off from bowling, but now my wrist still hurts alot any time I bowl. How can I ease the pain while bowling, or get my wrist back to a place where it no longer hurts to bowl? I saw an orthopedic surgeon, and he basically told me there was no accute injury, so there was nothing he could do. He basically told me there was nothing wrong. Clearly there is, if it hurts like hell after only a few games. It feels like a tendon is rubbing on a bone. It kind of clicks when I bend or cup my wrist. there are even times when simply resting my hand on the handle of a shopping cart will cause a sudden intense pain on that part of my wrist. I can also no longer do things that require putting any weight on it while bent, such as push-ups, or even lifting some heavy objects. NONE of these symptoms existed before using that stupid wrist device. And its a popular device too. Many people use it with no issue at all.

I've got this unindentifiable pain. I've looked all over the Internet for what would it be, but to no real avail. I'm hurt when I try to wrist wrist pronation, wrist flexion and surprisingly, not really feeling pain when doing ulnar deviation most of the time!! It hurts right in that spot tho. I'm guessing I've gone too heavy on wrist exercices, but since no Internet source talks about this particular example _(all the tests to see if there's pain from this or that didn't have any effect)_ I don't know if I can help it.

It doesn't hurt unless I try to do resisted _(weights or bands)_ pronations or wrist curls, and that even with pretty light resistance.

Any suggestion?

I fell after backpedalling to hit a tennis ball, thought I was bouncing my body off the fence, but it was a gate in the fence that was not closed properly. My bum got most of the impact, but I broke the fall with my right wrist mostly. I kept ice on it for about 25 on and off. It's sore in the distal ulnar region, but the swelling is down.

I keep getting shooting nerve pain from my wrist to the top of my pinky.. there was no injury but I'm aware of recently.. and none of the little tests that you have in this video make it hurt more. It just kind of hurts sitting there or if I twist my wrist the wrong way

This past week I had surgery and had an IV inserted in my hand and couldn't bare the pain as it shot up from my pinky through my forearm into my arm pit. They took it as if I'm being dramatic but really I was in pain. Today, it's tender to touch and painful when I hold and type on my phone. Will it resolve or should I do something about it?

2:03 you mention that stretches could be done to help with ECU tendinitis. What kind of stretches do you recommend?
