There is something they installed in the updates about a year ago, that is messing with my call functions. I think it was Bixby, but I can't uninstall it from my phone. EVERY DAY Its the same thing. Someone calls and either I can't hear them, or they can't hear me and I have to restart the phone. Then, after a few hours, the same thing happens again. Something is resetting the permissions and taking over the speaker / mic - and I've tried turning ALL permissions off that would deal with the speaker or mic, from all installed apps - but it doesn't help, so the only thing it can be is a system installed app. This is beyond frustrating, and Samsung Support doesn't help either - they basically said the same thing you did. It happens with the speaker and phone, so if I take a call and turn the speaker on I don't hear anything, and when I turn it off, I still don't hear anything. I call someone and they can't hear me - or they call and CAN hear me, but I can't hear them. Same thing multiple times a day, and each time I have to restart the phone. If restarting the phone works, and stays working for hours, then all the sudden - without me doing anything, it all the sudden happens again, it is a system issue.

Didn't help. Trying to fix my dad's phone. When people call, he can't hear them unless he puts it on speaker phone. They can hear him, but he can't hear them.

Care to explain how it is that you can hear OUTGOING calls fine but cannot hear INCOMING calls only? I'm about ready to cuss out Samsung and T-moblie and sue for ten times my money put in at the rate they're going. These companies need to be defunded turning out their crap phones.

Here is the problem that I am having I don't know if you can help.I have a T-Mobile Revvl 5 android. What is randomly, is that I will go to make a call and I can visually see the connecting, but there is no ringing or any sound. I have to restart the phone to get the sound back. The other that happens, is that I don't hear anything when someone calls and I am told it goes right to voicemail. This is a random issue.

On Android go to setting > Accessibility > hearing enhancements > adapt sound > then choose accordingly to your age or more if you prefer. Hope this helps

After a repair there was something like silicon blocking the speakers and in several places around the outside of the back cover

For some reason none of these solutions worked on my LG G7 ThinQ, this happened after i changed my case, i moved all of the hardware from one case to the other, turned it on

And everything seemed to be working but when i did a test call the phone rang just fine and when I answered it i noticed i can hear myself when I speak from my LG phone but i cant hear myself or whoever is talking to me unless i turn on the phone's speaker

Could there be another solution that i could try that you might have forgotten to add in this video?

please speak a bit more slowly, in a relaxed manner, no hurry. and take time to enunciate carefully. I have recently tested with excellent hearing.

This is now the 3rd s24 I've had this issue with. So all my apps and media have no issue at all. The speaker woks perfectly with everything until the normal cellular call is connected at this point the other person hears me but no sound comes out of my speaker at all either on loudspeaker or or so I thought. I can't hear anything but if I put the two phones together feedback starts

sometimes my calls work but most of the time they dont, and its not just the speaker because it doesnt work with my bluetooth either. the other person can hear me, but i cant hear them at all
