Both the hot and neutral wire coming from my valve are the same black/white stripe color.

The threaded adapter only screws in about 1/4 to 1/2 inch without using any tape. Is this by design?

Why on earth is the 1 1/2 PVC thread only going in about 1/2" into the system? One would think it would go in fully and the tape would help make it water tight..

yeah, so freaking simple we didn't even bother showing how to fix the other side of the valve line. zero help with replacing an existing valve
