Take an amount of steak and an amount of whey protein that represents 3g leucine but consider the fact that muscle protein synthesis lasts only 2-3h after a meal. Now the steak will only be half digested during this period whereas the whey protein will be almost completely digested. The leucine from the steak will effectively only have half the value relative to this MPS window. Similiar to Casein (representing 3g leucine), the steak will not trigger the leucine threshold. A larger dose of steak would be necessary.

Thank you for your video.I'm an older male dealing with metabolic syndrome and for a few weeks have been using IF, along with no processed foods with healthy carbs, proteins and fats. . However, I am now dealing with mild constipation, a situation that was not an issue before I started IF. I have yet to watch any doctors or other health professionals mention this as a possible.side effect Can you comment about your patient's experience.

Hello ! Can you tell me if you only need to trigger the mTOR with 3-5g of Leucine in a meal AFTER a workout, please ? It seems logical to me as animals in the wild would eat after an effort, but I need to be sure of this. Thank you :)
