So a game developer has a development kit on his studio.... absolutely incredible.

It's absolutely mind boggling that people have speculated that Kojima would make another PS5 game, what are the odds...

Remember, 343 hired people that literally stated they 'hated Halo'.

It's genuinely pathetic how unprepared 343 was for this launch. They learned _nothing_ from the disastrous launches of MCC and Halo 5.

Ubisoft has become synonymous with lazy cookie cutter game design. You can play any Ubisoft game for 2 hours and you’ve basically played the whole game because you’ll just be repeating that gameplay loop for another 100 hours.

Hearing that hundreds upon thousands of joy con controllers went through a third party facility just points to the fact that the joy con itself is flawed in such a big way.

Splatoon 3 needs to allow you to actually party up online in ranked. Splatoon 2’s party system for multiplayer was weird as it would only be for casual matches and it would randomize you so sometimes you could be an opponent to your friend or on their team and not a guaranteed way to party up unless it was during splatfest or in league battle which felt like tournament level sweat and not ranked. The way they did the party system in salmon run was great and it worked fine so I don’t see why it couldn’t be the same for the actual multiplayer. Hopefully in 3, that gets situated

As someone who has put in 2000+ hours in Splatoon 2, thanks to the Salmon Run mode.
I'm can't wait to play Splatoon 3, but my only worry is the online. I don't think a lot of people are talking about how is the netcode (or online performance). DCs are a big pain in Splatoon and put a team at a disadvantage.

I think the main issue for 343 is the engine. From the sound of it, it takes a while to learn and has its issues. Also it seemed a bulk of development before release had a lot, a lot of contractors. So they lost a sizeable chunk of their development team. Also I hear management has issues, many people that were in higher positions have left from 2019 to post release.

Regarding the joystick drift... as long as the big 3 continue to use those same joystick modules and contact pads, we will continue to see the same problems. One of them needs to innovate and implement something new so that the rest follow.

(RIP: 1 Joy -Con, 5 PS4 controllers and 1 PS5 Dual Sense)

If private equity buys them, the following happens: massive layoffs, IP fire sales, and anything that makes Ubisoft worth caring about is sold to the highest bidder.

Looks like NFTs really worked out for Ubisoft, huh?

It would be cool to see a spinoff halo made by id software using id tech 7

As someone who cares very little about online play, I say keep 343 and let them focus on campaign, which is what I buy the game for, and maybe bring in another studio to assist with or run online content. As long as it feels like halo, I don't care who does the online content.

I remember I shipped my right joycon to get it's drift fixed when it was first known that NoA was fixing them for free. I got it back like a month later and one of the screws was screwed in at an angle, leaving the shell gaped open. I had to buy a tri-wing screwdriver to screw it in properly.

I audibly groaned at that Nov 7 date for the end of Season 2. 343’s seriously dropping the ball with what’s otherwise an awesome game. Infinite really should’ve been delayed another year. I hate to see another victim of the dreaded live-service model…

That joycon issue is so terrible to hear about! Overworking employees is not right and it ended up in having a rather larger turnover and still having dissatisfied customers. Imagine that you sent in your switch to be fixed and when you get it back all the data has been wiped clean! I'd probs end my business with Nintendo if that ever happened to me. Attracting new customers is much more costlier then retaining existing ones. Spending the extra money to hire more people, more managers, and more repair shops for the joy-con would have been more beneficial in the long-run. This would have reduced the stress on those employees and made the mistakes less. Learn from this scenario business people, it is a lesson in disguise! :D

Imagine Infinity Ward making a Halo game man that would be absolutely insane

I just picked up a Switch Pro controller and I got to say Nintendo got this right. Reminds me so much of the Xbox 360 controller. Very happy with it.
