Consumers shouldn’t have to go out of their way to do this. Nintendo could provide us with decent controllers that are comfortable, like Hori split pad pro.

Heres a way that has always worked for me! Literally just turn off the controller and wait a minute.

It's always the left stick with the problems

This might fix the issue for some people, not everyone.
The solution I ultimately had to do was physically open up the joycon and disassemble the joystick in order to clear the pads.
Most people theorize that its dirt, which is true to an extent. But I've notice that the pads had some weird blackish gunk on them. Not too much, but enough to notice. Whether this gunk is normal out of the factory or is some type of build up is unknown to me.

I had this problem on xbox you need to take it apart and clean it with rubbing alcohol all in the joy stick itself and around it then blow dry it with a hair dryer and it fixed it for me

What if you actually have drift? This update won't magically or virtually get rid of dust and debris from your controller
