Who is Melchizedek?

Melchizedek is mentioned in a lot Hebrews but we get introduced to him in Genesis 14. Who is he and why is Jesus compared to him? How is Jesus your high Priest?

Ma'am, you said Melchezedek died. That is incorrect. The Bible said he never died. Let me quote it for you:

Hebrews 7:3
"3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually."
