When you’re a composer in Baroque times and you’re trying to convey rules, a law, or an authority, you use a fugue. So when the young Händel was in Italy (they spelled his name Hendel, which is a reasonable approximation of ä’s sound) and he set the Psalm starting Dixit Dominus (Psalm 110, 109 in the Vulgate, which is appropriate because it’s the Latin version), he set “Tu es sacerdos in æternum, secundum ordinem Melichisedech” to a fugue.

Heb7 "For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;"
That was unique right? He was both king AND priest.
Not one or the other.
In like manner, Jesus is also King AND Priest.
God appointed him as king, as Ps2:6 tells us, and he is our high priest, making approach to God on our behalf.
Heb9:24 "For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us".

Suspicious Priest is Suspicious. Asking for a tithe despite no apparent Holy Orders? Sounds like it could be Mercury under pseudonym...
