Some verses in the Bible will forever remain a mystery just to humble mere man.

I just read the scripture yesterday which stated Jesus being the High Priest in the order of Melchizidek. So it's interesting that God brought me to this video, because I was seeking further explanation. And now here I am, receiving just that. I love how God does that!

I am learning so much from this ministry. Its vast and growing amount of contents are biblical and accessible. I will continue to support this ministry and may God bless and use it to build up His people. 🙏

One thing I find most interesting about the story is the bread and wine, making Abraham a participant in the body and blood of the Lord Jesus before anyone knew what it meant. "Abraham is the father of us all" as the father of faith.

There are plenty of Christophanies in the Old Testament: Abraham with the 2 angels in Genesis chapter 18, and wrestling Jacob in Genesis 32, appearing to Moses in the burning bush in Exodus 3, and in the furnace with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel chapter 3. With all of these the appearance and disappearance of a pre-incarnate Jesus was sudden. I don’t think Melchizedek was a Christophany because he was an established priest and king of Salem.

I just read those scriptures from Hebrews a few days ago. It was then, for my own mind, I decided it was a Christophony. I’m still open to better suggestions, but to quit making myself crazy, it was Jesus!

I believe Melchizedek was actually who we also know as Job. For Melchizedek which means " king of righteousness" or a Priest King. Job was considered the most righteous man of that time. I believe the "type" ie High Priests " is zeinthed by Christ.

God showed up in my dream as a high school music teacher, told me that melchizedek was a war general and that he was the strongest fiercest warrior but he got a disease poking a camels eye with a needle that made him weak and in the verge of death. I woke up, i had to look up who Melchizedek was. I think god was telling me to be more like Melchizedek and to not be in love with money like rich people or else it would be harder for me to get to heaven

Jesus is Melchizedek in the Old Testament.
Romans 3:10 There is none righteous, no, not one.
Melchizedek is the King of Righteous.
PRAISE JESUS!!!!

Love the channel, am seriously thinking of raising my family in the born again religion. I just have one question. If Hitler accepted God in his heart the moment before he shot himself, does Hitler go to heaven or Hell? Thanks in advanced.

1. The book of Hebrews is an anti-typical book which means that it explains how Jesus was foreshadowed/prefigured by a person, place or event in the Old Testament; Therefore Jesus cannot be a type of Himself. Melchizedek was NOT a pre-incarnate/Christophany.
a. (Heb. 7:15-16) makes it clear Jesus was “another” priest, Not the same:
*Another (Grk.-heteros) adj., means a different person or a second of a different kind that is both distinct & qualitatively different from its counterpart. Therefore, they may be similar in type, but not the same in person. (Gal. 1:6)(Acts 4:12)(2 Cor. 11:4)
b. Hence Jesus cannot be both the shadow and the substance.
2. Without father or mother, without descent, having no beginning of days or end of life are simply adjectives to express the superiority of Christ priesthood over the Levitical priesthood:
a. Without father or mother- means they were not the reason for his position as King & Priest; obviously he had literal parents just as Jesus did, however whereas Jesus’ parents are recorded for us in scripture (Matt. 1:1-16)(Luke 3:23-38), Melchizedek’s parents are not. (He has no origin story)
b. Without descent- means that he did not become a priest on the basis of his genealogical descent; Unlike the Levites whom could not serve unless they could prove their pedigree (Had to descend from Aaron, Amram, Levi or Kohath). (Ex. 6:16-20; 28:41-43)(Ezra 2:62-63)(Neh. 7:64)
c. Had no beginning of days or end of life - means that unlike the Levitical priest who could only serve from age 25-50 (Numb. 8:24-25), Melchizedek’s priesthood had no term limits on it.
*Also, there is simply no O.T record kept of birth or his death.

Q: are there any actual true, aka unequivocal undisputed, "christophenies" (sp?) in the Bible?

I believe it was God. Whether it was God the Son or God the Father.

I believe Melchizedek was an early appearance of Christ.

If we assume melchizedek is literally Jesus (approx 1900 yrs prior to being "born") it creates a host of theological problems with ruling over another people group directly (jebusites not hebrews), and then leaving them even though he would have literally walked among them without changing them among other things. The jebusites fought agaist the jews when they entered the land.
