In my opinion aventurine is fine with no speed, as his shield is anyways up for like 2-3 turns before it gets destroyed, so his actually really sp positive

Another good 4 star lightcone is one that hasn't released yet but I believe it comes out during his banner. The lightcone is called Concert for Two (Robin and Sunday in it) and I think its the best 4 star option for him. Increases the wearer's DEF by 16% (32%). For each character with a Shield on the field, the DMG dealt by the wearer increases by 4% (8%).

I'm currently sitting at about 110 pulls and want to get Adventurine and possibly Robin as well. I don't think I'm going to go for his light cone, just for the sake of ensuring I get both him and Robin.

Ok his LC, makes so I now need effect hit rate so the cheap 10% dmg increase to land MoC12(hard content). So yeah huge skip on LC. I like how you did not say the 2 piece for the extra 20% follow up.
