for those asking no this no longer works after nerf. I suggest using swarm of flies it mega cheeses her. It constantly staggers her and bleeds her fast when you and your mimic are spamming it

If anyone is still struggling with this method just equip shabriri’s woe(constant aggro). Summon mimic tear and then take it off yourself. Malenia will completely ignore you

i dont know why but i started crying when i beat her, and it made me so happy to see everyones messages say "I DID IT!!!"

This works so well you don’t even need to back her into a corner just put this ash of war on a katana or any fast weapon and when you summon your +10 mimic it will spam the ice stomp or will just use regular attacks and eventually sync up with your attacks and stun lock her for crazy damage 1st phase I melted her hp once my mimic started using the ice stomp and phase 2 was the same 1000% best method to kill her.

For the people struggling with this, the ice stomp scales with the level of the weapon you put it on so bring it as high as you can! I tried it for 3 hours with a +12 uchi and couldnt get it done, when i leveled it on 25 i got it first try and really really easy, i had even time to pop my gold food.

Just a tip don't be afraid to respec for this fight. The big crazy blade attack is complete bullshit. I had to change to 60vig 40 endurance and rest in Dex and intelligence. Had to use the full veterans set with golden beast crest shield to finally be able to just tank it. Also had these talismans: great jar arsenal, dragoncrest greatsheild, ritual shield and a carian filigreed crest. Finally just used the +10 mimic and a +25 cold uchigatana with the stomp. Completely bullshit move.

i had to completely respec to a str dex build and just continuously staggered her with the bloodhounds fang, pretty much exactly the same way you did here by pinning her against a wall. in case anyone is curious, she is also weak to frost so coating weapon with frostbite grease could help a ton. or at least hot bar it so the mimic uses it.

also unrelated note that could help a ton to people: i dont know where to get the raw meat dumplings, but if you put them in your quick slots and dont use them the mimic will use them as a means to regen health outside of just the 1 flask it has, essentially prolonging its life much much longer. ive noticed the mimic will use items you put in your quick slots, including greases, and it doesnt count as a use on them.

Holy shit finally tried to beat her for 7 hours but my dodge timing was awful even wanted to quit this beautiful game xD but with hoarstomp it worked 4th try i got it done with 11 mind so drinking potions all the time thx so much my dude

Stomp and mimic are both nerfed now so unfortunately I don't think this will work any more

Sadly after patch Corpse Piler and other bleed centered builds have become king. Sword of night and Flame is patched, Deathblight is patched, Tree Sent shield is patched. And of course Horefrost Axe is now patched.

I beat her 2nd try using blasphemous blade + mimic and the weapons ash of war knocks her down. Definitly also worth a try. Similar to this if not even easier.

You know, when she does her "Rot Bloom" attack, that leaves her open to strong long-range spell attacks. Just an observation.

If you have an item with bloodhound step for the second phase it makes evading her attacks a lot easier just keep the weapon that has blood hound step in your off hand.

Over 20 tries on phase 2, and I have never had the kind of RNG you have with her moves.
