How To Connect External Hard Drive To Samsung Galaxy S23s

You can connect an external hard drive to your Samsung Galaxy S23. On the Galaxy S23, there's no USB port that can be used to connect your hard drive. However, you can use an adapter that can help you successfully connect the external drive.

Plug in the USB to Type C adapter on your device and connect the hard drive to the other end. Once you successfully connect, you'll be notified of your Samsung Galaxy S23. You can confirm this by going to the files menu and accessing the hard drive.

You can transfer files between the phone and the USB drive when connected. After you're done, you can safely eject the hard drive from your device. The steps demonstrated in the video apply to both the Samsung Galaxy S23+ and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

When I connect my WD elements hard drive to my Galaxy it says that the external hard drive is read mode only NTFS and I cannot change it

Have a 5t hard drive, and it connected one time to the 23 ultra. But now, won't connect.

Connection to computer just fine and other phones just fine.

What happens that it won't connect.

I connect it in the left corner. i see the symbol by the time. The light comes on the hard drive, starts working after 3 seconds, the symbol disappears, and the hard drive light turns off.

i have samsung S22U, i did like your connect to HDD, but my S22U couldn't connect to HDD
but I connected to another phone-it's worked( xiaomi, Samsung A32, Samsung note10 Lite....some of kine of still connected)

I used to save files by using hhd plug in phone but one day files complete save but suddenly gone idk y ? But use pc it won't gone ! So prevent files problem missing again i use micro SD card and otg save files after that plug into pc and transfer to hhd

Hey can this method work on S23 FE? I have read that it will use teh power of phone. Is that harmful? I have two external harddrives. Both are 1 TB. I know nothing about tech but i cant afford to repair my laptop right now. I need access to my files. What do i do? Someone please guide me.
