In this video, I show you how to connect an external hard drive to a laptop or computer. It is an easy tutorial and connecting an external drive will give you some additional space to use. The external hard drives nowadays are so affordable and have massive amounts of storage that I recommend that everyone has one or two of them and uses them to store their important files to back them up. They can also be used to free up some of the hard drive space on your computer so that it ends up running faster!

For note. The popup they talk about in the video is the "choose what to do with removable drives" popup. It showed for me after a few times of unplugging and plugging back in the drive into the computer. If this does not happen, try going into settings. Go to system, then storage, and click on "change where new content is saved." You can choose what will be installed and saved onto the drive. For games, Steam and apps support what games can be installed in a certain drive. If you don't have enough storage, you can just add a new drive to have a library.

Because I didn't have enough for a gaming computer unfortunately 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ and I only have enough space for my sims 4 games and some mods I downloaded but I wanna be able to download more games and stuff and I didn't know how to do that cheap and without breaking the computer apart to put new pieces in and all that crazy nonesense lol smh so trying to find the cheapest easiest way to get more space on the computer I already have.

I plug it in and it's all connected, it says it's connected but I never got the pop up asking what to do with it nor can I open it up to save files to it... Am I missing a step?
