In my book ECHOES OF EDEN I show that in the stone and serpent scenario Jesus is conflating three moments when Yahweh responded to his people's complaints and calls for better provision. The people ask for clean and safe water, and twice Yahweh gives them a stone. Even Moses loses patience with this roundabout way of meeting their basic needs and offends Yahweh by striking the stone. For that Moses is denied the fruition of forty years of service and leadership. He will die rather than enter the land. Pretty harsh. It is when the people complain about their constant and boring regimen of manna that Yahweh sends fiery serpents. You can find these episodes in Exodus 17, Number 20 and Numbers 21. I loved this, What's crazy is I've Been praying about this subject because I grew up As Jehovah's Witness, and my father was an Elder. I'm no longer a JW but I've been searching for answers and Paul explains things that makes since to me. I'm reading his book right now too. Its really good!!!!

Wow, just wow!

So really, the root interpretation of "repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand" is "go beyond your mind (transform your mind) because the amazing power of the realm of the source (cosmos) is available to you". An actual invitation to explore rather than servitude or worship! This makes sense. Thanks Paul!

I wish you could give us your own interpretation of the original texts that formed the Bible. Not so I could worship or become a Christian, but so I could discover what has been hidden and twisted. No knowledge is a waste!!

Problem is when the 'Human hand' touches something good it gets spoiled. For ages things did not add up correctly but what you cleared up makes Godly sense.
