Instead of soy sauce, use salty fish sauce like Megachef with chopped Thai peppers. It’s best when the chopped up eggs get a lil time to marinate with the cabbage. Yum!

My family does this but instead of soy sauce we do fish sauce! If it's too salty, we add a teaspoon (or more to taste) of water

Soy sauce instead of fish sauce? Are you even Viet? 😩 Jk. But my family would always have bland veggies and dip it in smashed hardboiled egg and fish sauce. Look, no kids like eating veggies but the dip made it easier. When you get a bite with a chunk of yolk tho? That's sum good shit 👌
