Using Car Window Tint On My House

I used a heat reducing film to tinted the windows on my house to help keep the house cool in the summer, lower UV rays, lower my energy bill during sunny days and to have more privacy from my neighbors in areas I didn't want blinds.

I have been Tinting for over 10 years and you just taught me something with cutting out a 45° angle… Thank you for that

When you open the film, spray that area as well. It will keep it from sticking to itself and ruining the film.

I was told not to do this on the inside if the window has double or tripple glass, since the temperature difference will crack the glass eventually. Just something to check before you do it.

You could use a clear ceramic tint as well. People do on their windshields so it’s doesn’t darken the window just reflect the heat/ UV rays.

Man, I promise I wish I watch this last week. The level of struggle was so real, I almost punched a whole through the window. But thanks, because I have 2 more windows to do. I have hope now😁

I appreciate your videos. Makes me feel confident to do things myself. I don't solely go based on your videos, I do my own research to. The visualization in your videos really boosts confidence and understanding. Thank you

Word of caution for anyone, applying film on any type of impact windows will void warranty and insurance won’t cover you, I live in South Fl and i learned this lesson the hard way.

Need to see it at night. My front door has this and I can't see out it at night. May be something to consider

Could have shown how it looks from the outside.

It is important to use a stainless blade, that way you do not score the glass

Tint is not something you want to cheap out on. This will 100% fade and turn purple overtime. Buy a quality ceramic tint for heat reduction.

While peeling the clear film spray lubricant while pulling to allow film to be adjusted

I bought some tent from TEMU but had No back peel so only use plain water.

When you do flat glass with car film, the film will be terribly difficult to remove and leave behind a major amount of glue

When I buy a house this is the first thing I’ll do, except I would go with a 50% I don’t want it to look too dark from the outside because black windows could ruin the appeal of the house depending on what color the exterior is. That’s all my opinion though.
