✧ FAQ ✧
1. On Ranger Tabs, Ranger School is an Army leadership school that theoretically anyone in the military can attend. It is unaffiliated with the 75th Ranger Regiment. However, Rangers in the regiments infantry components must go to Ranger School eventually or be kicked out. All leadership must have Ranger Tabs, but new entries may have not gone and are considered privates.

2. On pistols, all members of the squad are issued Mk27s (SOCOM's Glock 19). However, in practice only belt-fed gunners carry them due to stoppage issues. Unlike the regular Army infantry, this includes M249 gunners in addition to the M240. Everyone else is generally discouraged from carrying one on mission due to the risk of losing it.

3. On the short 11.5" URGIs, Team Leaders are prioritized for it due to their role, but Squad Leaders can pull rank and call dibs on one as well.

4. The regiment has a variety of optics in service that tabs can pick from. My long video on this topic covers it.

I thought it was: Assault, Support, Engineer, Recon.
I feel betrayed.

So in the OG MW2, Foley is the team leader, Dunn is the rifleman, Ramirez is the Grenadier and the automatic rifleman is the random guy who always died in the beginning of each mission.

"But new entries to the regiment haven't necessarely gone to Ranger School"

Squad Leader: "You're on this council but we do not grant you the rank of Master"

Remember, switching to your sidearms is faster than reloading.

Fun fact...the rangers first action was the rescue of American P.O.W.s from the Japanese P.O.W. camp in Cabanatuan, Philippines, and lessons learned from that action were carried over to regular training for the rangers

Whats crazy is that during ww1 a sgt would lead about 36 men not 4

I was a grenadier and a saw gunner, both were great and fun roles. Saw gunner was def cooler, just sucked having to lug that ammo around

As someone who’s been there. If you want a longer barrel you ask for it and get it. They aren’t TL/ or PSG only. It’s what you’re comfortable with and makes you a better operator and comfortable for CQB, or whatever your role is within Regiment.

LAMG is a thing of beauty. No recoil, easy barrel swap and no hand needed on the top after putting the first link on.

Now it makes sense why i saw so many SGTs in the USDF that were like 21 years old fresh outta school. They were only commanding like three other guys.
In most modern millitaries, a SGT has had at least 3-4 years as a PVT, then a 4-5 years for LCPL and CPL before finally being given command of a platoon as SGT after about 9 or 10 years of service.

It was the same thing when I was a platoon commander in the 82nd Airborne. (Platoons have 2-4 squads in them. I had 4.) I was the Squad Designated Marksman but also the platoon leader, so i had the pistol grip shotgun as well as my SDMR.
