As a young girl that has never thought about joining the military, I have been thinking about it lately and ever since I’ve finally decided to join JROTC to try, cadences are my favorite

As a mom and grandmother and someone who knows virtually nothing about the military, I find these cadences fascinating and you, my Sir, have done your country proud! My father was a Navy man who served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged much too early due to having found out he had bone cancer after an accident of some sort on the ship. The cancer was in his right leg and was amputated at the hip. He survived the cancer and in the 50’s that is unheard of. He died 15 yrs ago. I loved hearing his stories. My grand father was Marine in WWII. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, as well as many other awards/medals. We only heard of a few of his stories. He never spoke much of his time in the Military. He was a very proud Marine. I know he would have loved to hear these Cadences. I know, also, that he had a few of his own that probably were not meant for children’s ears.

When I was in basic at ft Knox in 2010 it was "kill the enemy take his soul" "M1 on the hill, sabot loaded he's ready to kill" and "apaches flying high, hell fire fills the sky" it's cool how similar but also different cadences are throughout the country

Good stuff, man. I've sang this cadence probably a thousand times to my trainees in Basic Training. This was my go-to cadence.

My daughter loves your performances of the cadences. Her father is in the army, my grandfather was a drill sergeant for 25 years. Military is in her blood and I'm sure she will join.

Only thing is, my infantry drill sergeant sang it as "kill the enemy and take his soul "

This one is my favorite and I wish there was a longer version!

I really like the Echo affect on this one.

While My flight may not have called this specific cadence, this brings back Basic CAP Encampment memories.
One of my favorites!

This cadence literally makes me regret never joining the military when I was younger. This here is a war chant, really gets my blood going. Love running /exercising listening to this.

The version i remember from 2008 basic training at Fort Knox (Drill Sergeant Edwards shouting this)
Hi lo lock and load
I'm grabbing my rifle i'm ready to roll.
We are always ready to go
So early, so early, so early in the morning

Apache flying high
Hell fire in the sky
The enemy's about to die
So Early So Early So early in the morning

Artillery on the hill
Raise the tube and send the pill
Kill the enemy we know we will
So early, so early, so early in the morning

In a bird up in the sky
Paratroopers flying high
All will jump and some will die
So early, so early, so early in the morning

Back at home a mother cries
Her paratrooper should not have died
On her knees she asks the Lord why
So early, so early, so early in the morning

Deep in Hell the devil waits
The paratrooper is running late
He greets him with a grin on his face
So early, So early, So early in the morning

The Devil has a job for you
A job that you're not going to do
You kill him with your rifle through and through
So early, so early, so early in the morning

Back at home back on the base
I contemplate the human race
With blood on my hands and dirt on my face
So early...so early...so early in the morning

I had a infantry drill sergeant do this cadence and coming from him it was just a different feeling, he could lead me into war with that cadence and I’d go with my head held high for sure it just makes all the adrenaline run through your body
