As Shrek choked, he was preparing himself for the death that was coming around the corner, while everyone else at the fancy dinner table, seemed to ignore him. While he managed to get the spoon out of his throat, he managed to get it back in again. Death had left Shrek for now, but had came back to take him from this world.
