How to Make CLEAR ICE. That's the biggest question you guys asked me last year. When I experimented and compared clear ice with cloudy I didn't realize that a lot of you don't know how to make clear ice at home. It's really easy. When you freeze water (filtered, distilled, or boiled) in the regular ice mold. It freezes fast from all directions, so the air is trapped inside and your ice turned out cloudy. But if you pour water in the plastic cooler with insulated walls and put it in the freezer for at least 24 hours
It will freeze slowly from the top and push all the impurities to the bottom.
It's called directional freezing.
But for those who don't want to deal with large ice blocks, there are affordable ice molds designed to make clear Ice cubes or ice spheres.
Don't keep your cocktail ice next to your food but instead put it in a separate bag.
