Couldn't you use the "rational being" objection against the first example of blue-eyed babies? Babies can't do mathematics, scientific inquiry, etc., as you noted in the example of the dog. So, wouldn't that put the baby and the dog in the same unfortunate predicament? Granted, babies >become< rational beings, but is that potential a consideration when we decide how we ought to act? Just some questions to think about...very nice video, btw.

But the baby is not a rational agent, why would you use the baby as an example?
